    I just got the xl motor for my cart and was able to get it into the fork but once it’s in the fork I can’t get the motor bracket with the holes to line up with the holes on the fork without the non-sprocket side of the motor pushing up against the fork causing the bracket plate on the motor to not sit flush because it’s slanted. I hope that makes sense. If so, what would you recommend doing? Should I cut out a little bit of the fork?

      @ yeah still on a pneumatic tire for now. I’ve been playing around with different tire pressures and different tightnesses on the headset. Nothing seems to get rid of it. It’s pretty annoying because it also wobbles when I am in the transition between one drift to another. So say I’m sideways and I never lower the drift bar, but I transition to sliding the other way - I’ll catch a wobble at two points as the wheel is at roughly 45 degrees. Hopefully that makes sense. Can you help me out? I have the 500w motor and once I screwed it in the chain wasn’t able to rap around the sprocket because the sprocket and chain tensioner were in the way. So I unscrewed the motor, rapped the chain like it says too in the tottoms video, and the motor wouldn’t go back in. But I just think I need to try harder that is not my concern. So the motor sprocket that comes with the 500w motor doesn’t’t lign up with the wheel sprocket or does it and I just need to remove a link from the chain so that the tension is correct? I am just trying to get a little more mph and I will upgrade the sprockets to go 32 mph later. Which sprocket do I need at the minimum that will fit. And you say I need to cut the spacer in half and grind the spacer in the back down until the sprockets line up. Is there no sprockets that line up fine or does the one that comes with the 500w motor work but needs to remove a link from the chain?

      @TheCrazyCartModChannel Місяць тому

      @@bubbachuck1 hello again. Please try to keep your comments more simple next time and do not include information that's not relevant to what you're trying to do. 🙏 From my recollection the 500 watt motor does not come with a sprocket that even fits the standard chain size so I don't know what your situation is there. But I recall it coming with a spacer. I don't recall anywhere saying specifically to cut the spacer in half, which would imply to cut it equally in half. You just need to trim it down slowly to make it fit. However if you just buy one of the d-shaft sprockets off the parts list you can tighten it down to the shaft after aligning it with the chain. use the tiny Allen screws it comes with. Just make sure to use loctite on the threads. As for the chain, you will likely need to remove links. I do not use the chain tensioner on any of my carts because i don't like the noise. I shim underneath one side of the motor with washers and tighten the other side to adjust the chain tension. This is explained in the flipsky 7070 build guide if you want to take a look there. Let me know if you have any more questions.

This is what made me think I had to cut the spacer in half “These sprockets attach with small allen key screws which are not strong enough to withstand the torque of the motor. The way I solved this issue is by cutting the spacer that comes with the motor into 2 pieces and sandwiching the sprocket in the middle tightly. @@bubbachuck1 yes, two pieces does not necessarily mean equally sized pieces though. And yes tighten it with the chain already on. If you want to do the spacer put the sprocket on and see about how much spacer you'll need behind it. Cut it and slowly grind it until the sprocket aligns. Use the other side of the spacer to sandwich it right on the front.

    Just a question people have said that if you put a 48v controller and battery on the stock motor it could blow up. Should i take my chances or upgrade the motor? Is there any other way it can go just as fast for cheaper without a motor upgrade?

    • @TheCrazyCartModChannel
      @TheCrazyCartModChannel Місяць тому

      @MustafaF4 you burning the motor up depends on how heavily you use it, how much you weigh, your riding conditions and such. My 90 lb son rides his with me and he has no problems. Unfortunately you either have to take breaks, way less, or upgrade the motor. It's just physics man

    • @TheCrazyCartModChannel
      @TheCrazyCartModChannel Місяць тому

      @MustafaF4 by the way, just to be clear, the motor doesn't actually explode. It just stops working because it gets too hot and burns the enamel on the coils

    Hello! Thank you for your videos. Would it make any difference installing a single 12v LifePo4 battery that equal about the same ah of the 4 you installed?

    • @TheCrazyCartModChannel
      @TheCrazyCartModChannel Місяць тому

      @@carlost8609 going strictly on the details of your comment, of course it would. The difference would be that you're only running 12v on the system. It wouldn't work. However, If what you mean is to add a 12v lifePo4 to the 2 stock batteries, than the difference would be that you're running 36v, but with 2 different capacities and chemistries. The large voltage sag of the SLA batteries would still limit the performance of the system. That would definitely be the bottleneck. If you mean something else, please state your question more specifically with a greater context 🙏

      @carlost8609 Місяць тому

      @ Thank you for your response! Forgive me for not specifying. I was trying to avoid having to connect all 4 batteries and only having a single bigger battery (ex: 50ah) but I now I know more batteries more voltage. It makes sense now, I appreciate you taking the time to explain it.

    • @TheCrazyCartModChannel
      @TheCrazyCartModChannel Місяць тому

      @carlost8609 I mean you could totally do that. If you could find a 12-volt motor. But the only motor with decent power are 24v on electric scooter parts. It's like $149 900w. It's on my list. The only other controller I know of that would work at 24 volts and give you a lots of power is the flipsky controller. And I have no experience or know-how when it comes to using it for a brushed motor. If you're really worried about battery size just get the 14 amp lithium battery off of my list. It works great

I can cover so much more ground now in so little time at these speeds that I'm terms of time it might feel like to little. If you go with the lifepo4 batteries you'll absolutely want to level the charge of each as closely as possible, because the lowest charged one will trip the BMS when you might still have some charge in the others.
